Just what is a Photobanner?
A
Photobanner features a greatly enlarged reproduction of the subject
or subjects whose photograph(s) you have sent us (either separated
from the background or placed in a vignette and cosmetically enhanced
as necessary) and your message combined into a bright, attractive
design printed onto Photo-Quality paper. A standard
Photobanner is 6 feet long although they are available in longer
lengths as required.

Whats included in the price?
We
believe in inclusive pricing (no plus postage & packing),
therefore the price is inclusive of all materials, scanning, photographic
improvements, design time, production and First Class postage
and packing for both your Photobanner and your photograph. We
even provide a FREEPOST address for your order.

Whats the difference between a Photobanner and a Custombanner?
Both
types of banner are produced to the same high standards. The only
difference is that the Photobanner carries a photographic image
and the Custombanner doesnt.
4.
Is 6 feet the only size available?
No,
we regard 6 feet as being the standard size but Photobanners
can be produced in almost any length. The order form gives several
options. If none of these meet your requirements either use the
pricing structure on the Ordering Notes page or contact us to discuss your requirements.
5.
How do I order?
We
provide an order form for you to enter your details and instructions.
The form is then printed and posted to us along with your photograph
and payment. If you prefer not to use the order form, the details
we need are your;
Name
& Address,
Phone number(s),
Message,
Photograph (if there is more than one person in the photograph-identification
of the subject),
Any special instructions,
Payment.

What if I need it urgently?
We
will always try to satisfy customers requirements and will try
to rush through an urgent order as quickly as possible. Please
contact us to discuss your requirements.
7.
Can I have more than one photograph on the Photobanner?
Yes,
you can have up to 2 photographs on a Photobanner for the usual
price of £39.95 for a six foot banner. Additional photographs
are subject to an additional charge of £10.00 per photograph.
If you have any special requirements please contact us and we will be happy to discuss
them with you.
8.
What do you do to / what happens to my photograph?
We
do not harm your photograpsh in any way, we simply scan them at
a high resolution. We then isolate the subject from the scanned
image, either by creating a vignette around the head, neck and
possibly shoulders or, if the photograph is suitable, a complete
separation from the background.
We
improve the image as necessary, this could involve
elimination of red-eye, adjustment of colour levels
or cosmetic improvements such as the removal of spots or other
blemishes (if only life was so simple!). Finaly, we enlarge the
resulting image to the full depth of the banner.
Your photograps are returned to you in a hard-backed envelope
by First Class post at the same time as your Photobanner is dispatched.
9.
What is a vignette?
A
vignette can be thought of as an oval image that fades into the
background, so the edge of the portion of the photograph that
is used will fade nicely into the Photobanner.
10.
Is the Photobanner suitable for outdoor use?
The
Photobanner is printed on Photo-Quality paper and, unless securely
fastened and protected from the elements, is not recomended for
outdoor use. However, we can encapsulate your banner for an additional
£3.25 per foot. Further details of encapsulation can be
found by clicking the Business button.
11.
What is the actual size/width?
Photobanners
are printed on Photo-quality paper that is A2 width (16½
inches/42 centimetres). They can be almost any length.
12.
How big will my message be / how many words can I use?
Your
message can be as long as you like, within reason, but bear in
mind that the more text that you have, the smaller the text will
be. For a simple message like Happy Birthday the letters
will be about a foot tall but it depends on the subject's name
and any other words that you would want to include like from
all the family. However our job is to design, fit and arrange
the text in the most attractive and eye-catching way.
13. How will my Photobanner arrive?
Photobanners
are dispatched in sturdy cardboard tubes by First Class post on
the day of production.
14.
What about Product Promotion and multiple orders?
We
are always happy to discuss specific requirements and will always
offer a competitive price for multiple orders. Please contact us to discuss your requirements or click the Business button.
15.
Do you do anything else?
Yes,
CT graphics provides a wide range of graphic design and image
manipulation services. If you have any special requirements, please
do not hesitate to contact us, we are always happy to discuss
customers requirements and we will do our best to help.
16.
Can you do alterations to photographs used in Photobanners?
Included
in the price is a degree of tidying up of the photograph.
For example, an unslightly spot on the nose or slight blemish
can easily be removed. If you require more extensive alterations
or repairs then we will be happy to discuss this after we have
received the source material. In any event, please contact
us to discuss your requirements.
17.
What type of photograph can you use/do you need?
The
quality of the final image is entirely dependant on the quality
of the source image. So the best, brightest and clearest photograph
will give the best results.
18.
Can I have extra copies?
A
copy of your Photobanner and the information contained therein
will be kept by us, in electronic form. An extra copy can, therefore,
be ordered at any time.
19.
How much are extra copies?
Copies
of either Photobanners or Custombanners are available at £24.00
each for standard 6ft lengths. For multiple orders or other sizes
please contact us.
20.
What if I decide I want an extra copy after I have ordered the
original?
Provided
that the first one has not been dispatched then, subject to payment
being received, this is no problem.
21.
Does the photograph have to be of a person?
No,
the photograph can be of anything you like and the message also
can be anything you like - its up to you!
